Kerala CM adds insult to injury

Posted on December 2, 2008. Filed under: Politics | Tags: , , , |

I never wanted to start a category in my blog called politics. But yesterday’s events does not allow me to sit back and ignore what happened.

A day after Sandeep’s father heaped scorn on the chief minister and Kerala’s home minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, who visited his Bangalore home on Sunday, Achuthanandan retorted that “not even a dog would have visited the house’ had it not been the martyr’s”.

“Is there a rule that the chief ministers of Kerala and Karnataka should visit together. Not even a dog would have looked that way had it not been Sandeep’s house. Our attachment to Sandeep’s family is special. Should not Mr Unnikrishnan, a soldier’s father, understand this,” the Kerala chief minister told a news channel.

Who the hell is he, our Kerala CM? We certainly know what his about-to-be-eradicated party is like. We also know that he never fails to give meaningless, idiotic, sing-song-like comments to the Kerala media. But his comments about the martyr’s family is absolutely disgusting, & shameful to Keralites, or malayalees, around the world. The old man has lost his mind and the hold on his toungue. Kerala media is saying that translation of the malayalam dialogue to English has made the problem ten-fold. And i say there is nothing wrong with that translation. It is exactly what it says in malayalam also.

Many used to think he is a good man, even though his actions and policies are b**ls**t. He has proven how wrong those hopes are.

Let’s apologize to that family. These politicians will never do that. If you sincerely feel please do that online here

Let’s show our solidarity.

Dear… almost all politicians are a bit mentally retarded. And now this is the time for reconsidering the age limit of the politicians who controls the states. Their jobs are not to make controversial statements. But not even a single politician understand this.

Remember the old statement (of course controversial) by Achuthanandan about our Honorable former President Abdul Kalam ? (In malayalam “ayaal oru vaanam vidunnavanaanu”)

The only answer to this is (In malayalam “Vayassayaal Chinnan undaakum. Angane ullavare raashtreeyathil aavashyamilla”)

Im wondereing why no channels or newspapapers
are mentioning this .
According to a TV report, he told Achuthananda
n, “Get out of my home, you dogs.’’

The news channels are right in not showing a grieving father’s angry remarks. How would you react when the police takes you out of the home, and closes the gates on you, when someone you don’t want is inside the house without your permission?

I understand that CM was retaliating to the line you mentioned here. We see petty politicians retaliating among themselves, and in sibling rivalry. But the CHIEF MINISTER OF KERALA?

And to think that a leader of a party that is all about martyrs, behaving like this? It is disgusting.

The TimesNOW had infact misinterpreted Kerala CM’s remarks either knowingly or unknowingly and had cleverly edited out the questions asked to him (Note that the questions are very relevant here to grade his removal as abusal, though it were never abusive directly or indirectly for Major. Sandeep’s family)

Please have a look at What (Exactly) Kerala CM Said… to know more…

Let’s condemn the unethical act of TimesNOW for sensationalizing news by misinterpreting CM’s remarks and misleading people.

pR@tz,
VS fans can write all they want. I don’t have any political interests. And i have read the entire thing in your blog. It is the same thing what i have read before. Does it mean that the leader was right in those remarks? You can read my perspective in my next post on the issue – http://jaisantonyk.wordpress.com/2008/12/03/unapologetic-kerala-cm-blames-the-media/

The media may have made the issue get out of hands. Any news channel might have asked the same question in your blog, and responded in the same way; it is what they do. Any politician faces the same kind of questions. It would have been the same if it was CNNI, Headlines today, or anything else. But that does not justify what the CM said. Especially unfortunate, in a time of anti-politician emotions, the media took it up. The entire angry youth took it up. I don’t know if you saw the reactions from Mumbai.

You can see another idiotic remark of the CM about FORMER PRESIDENT ABDUL KALAM as mentioned by my friend Sreejith K in his comment here. I have seen that too on the TV, which i now recall correctly. But this time his remark has hurt too many people.

I repeat… VS comments was not abusive/defamatory, either implicitly or explicitly, directly or indirectly, to slain major’s family. Even they have told that media had misinterpreted CM’s comments.

CM Achu is well known for making crude remarks and comments unfitting for a leader of mass. His remarks on Abdul Kalam and on Keralites during floods last this year all were uncharacteristic for a CM. Only that this time he crossed the limits and has been made to pay for it..

scorpiogenius, i totally agree with you. Our CM’s many remarks are uncharacteristic for the title CHIEF MINISTER.

pR@tz, if you watch the news & you are a malayali, you will know what we mean. His remark about the widely respected former Indian president is proof of our views.

‘ayal oru vaanam vidunnavanaanu’('rocket launcher’, in plain English).

In malayalam, it has negative meanings. Do you have any justification for that one? It is that remark that made me follow news about politics, politicians and their remarks.

And it is this DOG remark that made me start a new category called politics in my clean tech blog.
