Ive been wondering what to post today. I remembered a tweak that i have been using since the day i came to know about Firefox(and that’s a long time ago). Here i will share it with you.
In the address bar, type in about:config and press enter.
You will find a long list of entries whose values can be modified by the user. Double clicking an entry brings up a dialog box for the user to input a custom value. If the entry is a Boolean(true or false) entry, double clicking toggles the current value.
Now find the entries specified in bold below and modify its’ values to tweak your browser.
- set network.http.pipelining to true
- set network.http.proxy.pipelining to true
- set network.http.maxrequests to, say, 30
- set network.http.request.max-start-delay to 0
- Right-click anywhere and from the menu select New > Integer. Then enter the name nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set the value as 0.
Now close all instances of Firefox, and restart it. And enjoy a new turbo-charged Firefox.
